MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) is a widely used packaging technique in the food industry. An inert medium is prepared with nitrogen gas in the package. In this way, constitution of microorganism and oil oxidation are prevented. It ensures that the packed product remains fresh and its shelf life is extended. In addition, since nitrogen gas cannot be metabolized and absorbed by microorganisms, it prevents microorganisms from forming a vacuum environment in the packing by protecting their existence. Nuts, potato chips, confectionery, coffee, tea, cocoa, dried food, yeast, wine and vegetable oil bottling are examples that can be given in this field.

While packing of some foods, Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide gas are used together. Due to the bacteriostatic and fungustatic properties of CO2 gas, many fungi and bacteria are prevented from forming in the packages. Mold and bacteria effect does not appear in the packages by preventing the development of microorganisms on food. Bakery products, dough, processed chicken, fish and meat products, cheese and dairy products, ravioli, sausage, salami and milk desserts are examples.

IDEAL MAKINA FOOD GAS PRODUCTION SYSTEM

Nitrogen gas is being produced by keeping the purity under control with IDEAL MAKİNA Nitrogen Generator. If there is no carbon dioxide requirement, it is offered for use by passing through a sterile bacteria filter.

If carbon dioxide gas is required in the modified atmosphere packaging, the nitrogen gas produced with IDEAL MAKİNA Nitrogen Generator and the carbon dioxide gas supplied by cylinders supplied by outsourcing dealers are passed through a food gas mixer and stored in the stock tank. The produced food gas mixing ratios can be easily adjusted on the mixer (such as 70% N2 – 30% CO2). An automation system supported by sensors is used to make the mixture healthy and correct. With the automatic Change-over system, the loss of carbon dioxide gas is prevented. The system is automatically being directed to the filled carbon dioxide cylinder by giving audible and visual alarm providing to replace the emptied carbon dioxide cylinder with a new one. Thus, the food gas that is required in the required quantity, proportions, pressure and sterile bacteria filter is presented.
